Remarks (Use Separate Page if Required): Urgent Proposal for the Reconstruction of School Toilets due to Drainage Issues 1. Current Situation The school currently has four toilet units, out of which only two are functional. The remaining two have become completely non-functional due to a fundamental structural flaw and a lack of proper drainage. 2. The Problem The primary reason for the failure of the drainage system is the topographical difference between the school premises and the surrounding area: Low Elevation: The school ground is at a significantly lower level than the adjacent street/market area. Drainage Blockage: Because the street level is higher, the sewage and wastewater cannot flow out naturally into the main sewer lines. This backflow has rendered two toilets unusable. 3. Impact on School Health & Hygiene The non-functional toilets are creating severe hygiene and sanitation challenges for both students and staff. With only two working toilets for the entire school, there is: Increased risk of waterborne diseases and infections. Lack of privacy and dignity for students and teachers. Difficulty in maintaining a clean and healthy learning environment. 4. Proposed Solution: Reconstruction To resolve this permanently, simple repairs will not suffice. The school requires a complete reconstruction of the toilet block.
